Other reasons / organisations consulted
The proposal to establish a Carers Centre Network is in direct response to a wide ranging consultation process with Carers in Stockport. The proposals reflect the feedback from the Big Care Debate, Stockport Carers Forum events, Carers Mental Health LIT, Disability Stockport week, Dementia consultation and the Carers Information days in 2010 and 2011. A leaflet setting out the proposals for the Carers Centre has also been distributed through the Signpost Stockport database. The design of the Carers Centre network has been drawn up by the multi agency Carers Partnership Board and approved at their meeting in May 2011.
