The Executive Councillor (Transportation) has agreed to accept the transfer of approximately 15 staff from Solutions SK to the Council to enable consultation to commence with those staff under the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE).
The business case for the public realm transformation sets out the creation of a Public Realm service. In summary there will be one client function based in the place directorate and all operational staff will be placed into Solutions SK.
In order to commence the necessary consultation under the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE) with the relevant staff in Solutions SK, a decision is needed to accept the transfer of these staff; subject to the whole scheme being considered by the Executive on 16 December 2011.
