The Cabinet Member for Communities & Housing considered proposals to introduce waiting restrictions on South View Gardens, Cheadle to improve road safety and improve access for emergency vehicles by reducing in considerate parking, and has approved the legal advertising of the following Traffic Regulation Order and subject to no objections being received within 21 days from the advertisement date the orders can be made:-

From a point 15 metres South of the intersection of the southern kerb line of South View Gardens, to a point 19 metres north east of the intersection of the north eastern kerb line of Turnfield Road.

Turnfield Road, Cheadle – No Waiting at Any Time

Both Sides

From the intersection of the north western kerb line of Schools Hill, for a distance of 20 metres in a north westerly direction.

South View Gardens, Cheadle – No Waiting at Any Time

Both Sides

From the intersection of the north western kerb line of Schools Hill, for a distance of 12 metres in westerly direction.

South / South West Sides

From a point 20.5 metres south west of the projected building line of ‘Tabley House’ first heading in a south westerly direction for 14 metres, then heading in a north westerly direction for 57 metres.

South View Gardens, Cheadle – ‘Monday – Friday No Waiting 8am to 6pm’ North West / North East Sides

From a point 20.5 metres South west of the projected building line of ‘Tabley House’ first heading in a south westerly direction for 5.5 metres, then heading in a north westerly direction for a distance of 48 metres.

The £1450 cost of the proposal is to be funded jointly from the Cabinet Member Strategic Budget (£450) and the Cheadle & Gately Ward delegated budget (£1000).

The Cheadle Area Committee supported the proposals.
