This document sets out Stockport's high level
policies and strategy for maintaining our highway infrastructure
assets including roads, pavements, bridges and structures and
street lighting with accompanying 20-30 year financial projections.
It also sets out some critical corporate actions to meet
requirements for asset management.
The Executive considered a proposed Transport Asset Management Strategy that would provide the principles, objectives, processes, actions and current estimated investments for Stockport’s transport infrastructure and agreed that
· the Transport Asset Management Strategy (TAMS) be approved as Stockport Council’s strategy for investment in maintenance of the transport network;
· the financial profile in Annex 4 of the TAMS be approved for use as the basis for future bidding for additional maintenance capital;
· the development and implementation of the performance plan in Part 3 of the TAMS be supported.
