Decision:

The Executive at its meeting on 11 February 2014 agreed to publish statutory proposals in relation to three primary school expansions. The Executive also agreed to delegate authority for the final decisions to the Corporate Director for People, in consultation with the Executive Councillor (Lifelong Learning & Achievement) subject to there being no significant objections during the representation period. Statutory proposals were subsequently published followed by a four week representation period. The outcomes of the representation period have been presented for consideration in taking a final decision on each of the proposals.

 

The Corporate Director, in consultation with the Executive Councillor, has approved statutory proposals, without modification, to:

 

  1. expand Arden Primary School from 2 forms of entry to 3 forms of entry with effect from 1 September 2015, subject to the following condition: planning permission to be granted by 31 March 2015;

 

  1. expand Greave Primary School from 1 form of entry to 1.5 forms of entry with effect from 1 September 2015, subject to the following condition: planning permission to be granted by 31 March 2015;

 

  1. expand St Elisabeth’s Church of England Primary School from 1 forms of entry to 1.5 forms of entry with effect from 1 September 2015, subject to the following condition: planning permission to be granted by 31 March 2015.
