Purpose:

Approve the appointment of a contractor for the A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road following the procurement process.

Decision:

The Executive Meeting considered a report on progress with appointing a contactor to develop the design and construct the proposed A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road and have agreed that:-

 

(1) progress with the appointment of contractor be noted and the process used be approved;

 

(2) the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Executive Councillor (Economic Development & Regeneration) be authorised to appoint the contractor and make other ancillary decisions and legal agreements with the organisation ‘A’ as set out in the Exempt Appendix to the report.
