The Council Solicitor, in consultation with the Executive Councillor (Corporate, Customer and Community Services) has approved the acceptance of tender from ISG Construction Limited to undertake refurbishment and alteration works on the Coroner’s Court at Mount Tabor. The accepted tender is within approved Council budget.
Revised contract procedure rules require that acceptance of tenders in excess of £250,000 require the approval of the relevant corporate/ service director in consultation with the relevant executive councillor.
The procurement of the contractor has been undertaken through the Northwest Construction Hub Framework. The tendered cost is within approved budget. A detailed procurement and project management process has been followed to meet the framework requirements and the appointment of a contractor. The alternative to this route would require a re-procurement exercise which would not be value for money.
