Decision Maker: Cabinet Member for Parks, Highways & Transport Services
Decision status: Recommendations approved
Is Key decision?: No
Is subject to call in?: Yes
The Cabinet Member for Parks, Highways & Transport Services has noted that the Bramhall & Cheadle Hulme South Area Committee had previously given approval to a package of traffic regulation orders and measures associated with the Road Safety Around Schools programme for Hursthead Primary Academy at its meeting on 20 April 2023.
However, it had subsequently been identified that although the drawing was correct, within the schedule wording legally advertised there was an error and omission of some revocations for the existing restrictions, that had been approved at Area Committee.
Furthermore, following discussions with local councillors, it has now also been agreed to pursues proposals for the extension of ‘School Keep Clear’ markings to take them further south of the crossing point north of Sawley Drive to give better intervisibility.
The Cabinet Member for Parks, Highways & Transport Services has then given approval to the legal advertising of the revised package of traffic regulation orders and associated revocations as detailed in Appendix A to the report, and subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the orders.
