The Cabinet Member for Parks, Highways and Transport Services has given approval to the legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order (detailed in appendix A for the revocation and introduction of waiting/loading restrictions and signalised junction, including pedestrian facilities) at the Heaton Moor Road/Peel Moat Road/Broomfield Road Junction and, subject to no objections being received within 21 days from the advertisement date, that order be made.

Alternative options considered:

Other locations were carefully considered for a signal-controlled crossing point, but when considering pedestrian movements and the effects on vehicles and congestion, this location was deemed to be the most appropriate.
