That approval be given to an application from
Friends of Shahnameh for a grant of £290 from the Ward
Flexibility Funding Budget, ward allocations as follows:
£100 – Cheadle and Gatley ward allocation
£100 – Cheadle Hulme North ward allocation
£90 – Heald Green ward allocation
towards the cost of organising a ‘Celebrating
Diversity’ Festival on 15 May 2022 – to include talks,
music, and poetry readings.
The decision has been taken as urgent action as the event is due to
take place in advance of the next meeting of the Area Committee and
as such, the ordinary approval process could not be
followed.
