Decision:

The Area Committee has given approval to an application from Beacon Counselling for an increased grant of £2000 from the Ward Flexibility Funding Budget (£500 from each ward allocation) towards the cost of anticipating even higher levels of demand for 2021 as financial hardship, isolation, and particularly bereavement, continue to impact mental health and support towards funding the voluntary service for those within the ward for 2021.

Councillor Dean Fitzpatrick declared a personal and prejudicial interest as the applicant's organisation was also the Mayor's nominated Charity for 2020/21

 

Councillor Fitzpatrick left the meeting during the consideration of this item and took no part in the discussion or vote.

 

Councillor David Wilson declared a personal interest as he was involved in raising funds for the Mayor's Charity fund of which Beacon Counselling was a nominated recipient.
