The current Statement of Community Involvement
(SCI) for Stockport was adopted by the Council in October 2015 (see
http://democracy.stockport.gov.uk/ieDecisionDetails.aspx?ID=2152).
An addendum to the SCI (2015), intended as an interim update, has
been prepared and consulted upon to deal with constraints on
undertaking community involvement which arise from The Health
Protection (Coronavirus) Regulations 2020 and to reflect some
changes to national guidance and regulations since the 2015 SCI was
adopted.
The Cabinet has considered a report setting out a proposed addendum to the Stockport Statement of Community Involvement which details how the Council will engage local communities and other interested parties in producing its Local Plan and determining planning application.. The addendum was necessary to deal with the constraints on undertaking community involvement which arise from the Health Protection (Coronavirus) Regulations 2020.
The Cabinet has given approval to the adoption of the Addendum to the Stockport Statement of Community Involvement (2015) as detailed in the report.
