This report sets out a comprehensive plan for
identifying and delivering the infrastructure required to support
the Council’s ambitions for the future of the Town
Centre.
The Cabinet considered the Central Stockport Infrastructure Delivery
Plan Prospectus and Stockport Growth Prospectus along with a general rail update and has:-
(1) Endorsed the contents of the Central Stockport Infrastructure Delivery Plan Prospectus and the Stockport Station Growth Prospectus.
(2) Agreed that officers should continue to work with TfGM and Network Rail as a priority to explore and identify a new layout and design solution for the Greek Street bridge and the Thomson Street footbridge
(3) Noted the proposed stakeholder engagement plan outlined at 4.1 in the report

Councillor Elise Wilson declared a personal and prejudicial interest as a member of the Board of the Stockport Town Centre West Mayoral Development Corporation.
It was noted that the Standards Committee had approved a dispensation to enable those councillors who were members of the Board of the Stockport Town Centre West Mayoral Development Corporation and who would otherwise have a personal and prejudicial interest in the matter being discussed to take part in the debate and vote at the meeting.
The Chief Executive also declared an interest as a member of the Board of the Stockport Town Centre West Mayoral Development Corporation.
