Purpose:
To update the Executive on the key
announcements made by the Department for Education (DfE) on the
education funding settlement for 2016/17.
To approve the local formula to be used to determine individual
budgets for Stockport schools for 2016/17 in line with the two year
phased change agreed last year by the Executive.
Decision:
The Executive considered and noted the Education Funding Settlement for 2016/17 and approved an amendment of the local formula for 2016/17 as outlined in 5.2 of and summarised in the table in 7.2 of the report, to form the basis of the calculation of school budgets and that the Department for Education be notified in accordance with statutory requirements.
