The Executive Councillor (Communities and Sustainability) has approved the introduction of the following Traffic Regulation Order at Levens Road and Newby Road, Hazel Grove, to help prevent double parking and the obstruction of vehicles and access to properties at the location. The Scheme is to be funded at a cost of £700 from the Stepping Hill Ward Highway Maintenance and Traffic Management delegated budget.
No Waiting at Any Time:
Levens Road
South East side from a point 10 metres South West of the South Westerly kerb line of Newby Road in a South Westerly; then Westerly direction (following the kerb line) up to and including the Turning Head at the cul-de-sac end of the street.
North side from a point 3 metres North West of the projected South Easterly building line of Unit No. 4 in a North Westerly direction up to and including the
Turning Head at the cul-de-sac end of the street (to tie in with the restriction described above).
North West side from a point 10 metres South West of the South Westerly kerb line of Newby Road for a distance of 20 metres in a South Westerly direction.
Newby Road
North East side from a point 10 metres North West of the projected North Westerly kerb line of Levens Road for a distance of 30 metres in a South Easterly direction.
Introducing restrictions on one side of Levens Road only. The proposal was rejected as this may lead to parking on a side of the road without a pedestrian footway.
