Decision:

The Executive Member, Economic Development and Regeneration has approved proposal for improvements to wayfinding in the Town Centre with a specific focus on pedestrian signage.

 

The proposals include: the proposed fingerpost placement for the Town Centre; type of finger post signage; preferred routes for vehicle signage; development of ‘heads up’ maps for the Town Centre; and the location of boards for these maps.

 

The focus of wayfinding in Stockport Town Centre is to improve the ability of visitors to find their way and appreciate what Stockport Town Centre has to offer, and to support the local economy.

 

The Central Stockport Area Committee supported the proposals.
