Decision details

The Area Committee has approved the use of the following commuted sums from local planning developments for play provision:-

• £11,678.91 towards the provision of new equipment at Diamond Jubilee Recreation Ground, Cheadle and that it be investigated if this could be for use by teenage children.
• £669.24 towards the new junior play equipment at East Avenue Recreation Ground, Heald Green.
• The sum of £501.93 identified in paragraph 2.2 of the report to Brookfield Recreation Ground.

The Area Committee considered the following option to the use of commuted sums identified in the report:-

The use of the £501.93 commuted sum at the Diamond Jubilee Recreation Ground play area.

Councillor Peter Burns declared a personal and prejudicial interest in this item as his wife is the Chair of the Friends of East Avenue Recreation Ground, Heald Green. Councillor Burns left the meeting during consideration of this item and took no part in the discussion or vote.
