management of Stockport Borough Cemetery and the cremators is due
to end in March 2023. This is currently operated by Dignity Plc.
The Council is currently reviewing the options of either brining
the service back in house or re-tendering the service in part or as
a whole. The service is seeking approval to delegate the final
decision to the Cabinet Member for Highways, Parks and Leisure
Services along with the Deputy Chief Executive and Director of
Place Management.

(1) Delegated responsibility for the review of options to the Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Place Management in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Highways, Parks and Leisure Services.
(2) Delegated responsibility to award any contract to the Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Place Management in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Highways, Parks and Leisure Services.
