The Area Committee approved an application from Crazy Legs Events to hold a Stockport Trail Half Marathon Event at the greenspace area along Middlewood Way, from Wood lane, Marple through High Lane and into Cheshire East and land owned by the Canals and Rivers trust on 26 February 2023, from 8am – 2.30pm , with a start time of 9.30am subject to the organiser obtaining appropriate papers, event plans, health & safety documentation, licenses, insurances and any fees and charges that apply. To also include checks for and removal of litter.
