Purpose:

This report provides an important update on the Council’s financial position as at Quarter 1+ in relation to its 2022/23 revenue budget and capital programme. The report also includes an update on the Dedicated Schools Grant and the Housing Revenue Account (HRA). This report presents an overall forecast position for 2022/23, including summary of the Q1+ forecast position for each Portfolio. The Cabinet will be asked to approve the virements to the revenue budget and note the forecast positions for 2022/23 as at Q1+ and note the changes to the capital programme and re-phasing of schemes during Quarter 1+.

Decision:

The Cabinet has considered an update on the revenue budget forecast outturn for the period to the end of July 2022 (Quarter 1+) which included an update on the Dedicated Schools Grant, Housing Revenue Account and updates to the Capital Programme, and has:-

 

·         approved the virements to the Revenue Budget;

·         noted the Cash Limit and Non-Cash Limit forecast positions for 2022/23 as at Quarter 1+;

·         noted the HRA and DSG forecast positions for 2022/23 as at Quarter 1+;

·         noted the forecast position for the 2022/23 Capital Programme; and

·         noted the changes to the Capital Programme and re-phasing of schemes during Quarter 1+.
