The report detailed the findings of a consultation exercise and sought approval for the introduction of a No Waiting at Any Time Traffic Regulation Order on East Street at the junction with Hardman Street on both sides of the junction, at the entrance to Hollywood Towers with associated loading bays to assist Hollywood Towers and further restrictions, which would help to prevent parking.

The Area Committee approved the statutory legal advertising of the following TrafficRegulation Order detailed in the report, as shown on Drawing No. NM8/5109/Option A attached to the report, at an approximate cost of £1,150 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Edgeley and Cheadle Heath Ward allocation):-

No Waiting at Any Time:

Hardman Street

North East side – From a point 8 metres north of the intersection of the Northerly kerb line of East Street, along the extents of adopted highway for a distance of 19 metres in a south easterly direction along the Northerly kerb line of East Street.

South East side - From a point of intersection with the easterly kerb line of East Street for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction

East Street

North side- From a point 20 metres of the intersection of the easterly kerb line of Hardman Street along the extents of adopted highway for a distance of 33 metres in an easterly direction.

South side – From a point of intersection with the easterly kerb line of Hardman Street for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction.

No Waiting Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm:

East Street

South side - From a point 10 metres of the east of the intersection with the eastern kerb line of Hardman Street to a point 24.5 metres in an easterly direction.

Loading Only Monday to Saturday 7.30am to 6.30pm:

East Street

North side- From a point 65 metres east of the intersection of the easterly kerb line of Hardman Street for a distance of 7.5 metres in a northerly direction.

Hardman Street

North East side – From a point 20 metres north of the intersection of the northerly kerb line of East Street, for a distance of 8 metres in a northerly direction within the parking layby.

The Area Committee further approve that, subject to no objections being receivedwithin twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made.
