The Area Committee has given approval to an application received from Romiley Bowling and Tennis Club for a grant of £500 from the Ward Flexibility Budget towards the cost of converting two Tennis courts into Petanque (otherwise known as French Boules) courts.
Alternative options considered:
To make a grant of £1,000 as originally applied for. However, in the light of the available budget remaining, and so as to preserve the committee’s ability to make grants to other organisations, it was agreed that the committee would fund half of the original request,
