Purpose:
Following the revaluation of the rateable
value (RV) of business the Government announced funding for Local
Authorities to provide additional support for businesses most
affected by increases in their RV.
LA's are required to establish a scheme to enable the funding to be
distributed in a way which meets local need.
Decision:
The Cabinet considered changes to the Business Rates Relief arrangements in light of recent Government announcements following the business rates re-evaluation and agreed that the proposals for the allocation of the Discretionary Business Rates Relief Funding, as set out in the report, be approved.
