Decision:

The Area Committee has approved the use of commuted sums for play provision received from local developments as follows:-

 

   £334.62 from development no.1083 (DC050788, 66a The Crescent, Woodsmoor) towards providing improved safer surfacing at Great Moor Park;

   £836.55 from development no.1092 (DC050439, land adjacent to 359 Bramhall Lane, Woodsmoor) towards providing improved safer surfacing at Great Moor Park.

 

and asked that the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration be requested to write to the Chair of the Friends of Great Moor Park to advise him of the availability of these funds.

Alternative options considered:

The Area Committee could have allocated the sums as follows:-

 

     £334.62 from development no.1083 (DC050788, 66a The Crescent, Woodsmoor) towards providing a landscaped play area at Highfield Close.

     £836.55 from development no.1092 (DC050439, land adjacent to 359 Bramhall Lane, Woodsmoor) towards future play improvements at Parkside play area.
