This is an advance draft of the 24th Annual
Public Health Report, an independent professional report which the
Council is statutorily required to commission from the Director of
Public Health and publish. It is intended to submit it in late
January, following which it is anticipated in accordance with past
practice that the Council will prepare a response which will
ultimately go to Cabinet for approval. Partner agencies will also
be asked to respond. It has been customary in recent years for the
draft at this stage to be shared for comments and suggestions with
CLT and the Adult Social Care & Health Scrutiny Committee.
Careful attention is usually paid to their suggestions.
