the existing path is to be orphaned by the A6Marr development.
The scheme does not stop up the pathway which has been a
concessionary byway along private road belonging to the Connoco
Phillips site who have consented to public use since 1947.The land
was purchased under compulsary purchase for A6Marr. The land
therefore carried with it easements for public use. The route will
provide safe traffic free access from "Little Australia Estate" to
Poynton FP 75 and Chester Road without the need to breathe in air
pollution traffic noise and unsafe roadside design of A6Marr.
It will also replace the HG15 path illegally destroyed.
