Save Our Greenbelt from development under planning application DC/060928

We, the undersigned We wish to formally register our objection to the proposed sale of Green Belt land by the SST to a property developer with the intention to build 325 houses on Greenbelt fields between the Wilmslow Road and A34 bypass at Heald Green.

Heald Green is a village nestled among neighbouring villages and the Greenbelt is a natural and valued divide.
The new Semms road has been built to alleviate traffic congestion in the area and the proposed development of 325 houses will add approximately 600 + cars potentially travelling towards Manchester on the A34 Kingsway and through Heald Green village which is already heavily congested.
The strain on schools, doctors and other services will exacerbate issues already in existence.
The Woodford development and the proposed development in Handforth and Cheshire East is already expected to add a further 1650 houses to this area.
This sale is unquantifiable both in terms of cost and need by the SST as detailed in their plans and at a local meeting.
The school claim "special "circumstances" which we consider not to be the case.
The cost of the development at circa 45 million GBP is not substantiated in any of the financial information supplied by the SST.
The sale of Greenbelt for houses is not in the neighbourhood plan and is deemed unnecessary by local residents.
The SST do not require the land for their own expansion needs and therefore it should be refused.
