The Green area is bordered by walkways and has been used by the local community on a daily basis for the past 40 years. The Green area/mound/play area has been well maintained by SMBC over this period with regular grass cutting and tree maintenance.
The land is owned by CMAS Rents Ltd who recently offered the residents the whole area (approx 3/4 of an acre) for £2600.
Bramhall is a family and community village and we want to preserve this situation. We want the status quo to remain and wish to protect the area from anything untoward happening such as it being neglected. fences erected, or anything that could lead to vandalism and crime.
We consider the best option is for the council to purchase the land from CMAS Rents Ltd,continue to maintain it and protect the Green area which has been a long standing community facility.
