The proposed development willl cause increased traffic and congestion to Didsbury Road. The new junction location will only add to the current daily traffic issues, given its proximity to another retail junction and major M60 junction, including a loss of on drive parking to residents opposite the junction.
We do not need yet another supermarket given how many are available in the local area including a recently opened Morrisons local only 100m away or the proposed drive through cafe (possibly McDonalds) which is innappropriate use in a mainly residential area. There will be a loss of local shops and businesses and the development contravines the Stockport local plan on use class for the development site.
