Decision:

The Cabinet Member for Communities and Housing has approved the implementation of revised scheme design proposals amended from initial approval 3rd February 2017 (EMDCH41).  During the design process a few changes were made to the original scheme layout, which were significant enough to seek further approval. The amended scheme design (drawing: Project/1174/GA-01/GMCRP revision B dated 21/04/2017) was circulated to and agreed by Ward Councillors 02/05/2017.

 

The changes include:

 

·         Central double sided vehicle restraint system rather than two single sided barriers

·         New central island to the south of Oldmoor Road to assist cyclist to cross and access the cycle path thus avoiding the roundabout

Decision:

The Cabinet Member for Communities & Housing has approved a scheme to introduce a 20mph speed limit and cycling facilities in the Hall Pool Drive and Old Hall Drive area. The measures are to be funded from the 2017/18 Highway Capital Programme at a cost of approximately £105,000.

 

The Cabinet Member has approved the measures set out in 2.1 of the accompanying report, and the legal advertising of the associated Traffic Regulation Orders, as set out in Appendix A of the report, and subject to no objections being received within 21 days from the advertisement the Orders being made.

 

The Stepping Hill Area Committee supported the proposals.

The Cabinet Member for Communities & Housing has approved the legal advertising of Traffic Regulation Order as detailed in the appendix to the report, revoking existing Waiting and Loading/Unloading restrictions and introducing new restrictions on Royal George Street, Stockport required as part of the Town Centre Access Package.

 

The Cabinet Member has approved the advertising of the Orders and, subject to no objections being received within the 21 days from the advertising date, that the Orders can be made.

26/04/2017 - Grant of a Deed of Variation to Electricity North West Ltd at Lapwing Lane, Brinnington, Stockport. ref: 2855    Recommendations Approved

Decision:

The Deputy Chief Executive has granted authority to allow the Council to enter in to the Deed of Variation with Electricity North West Ltd substituting the plan marked Appendix 1 with the plan marked Appendix 2 in the lease dated 25th October 1960 to facilitate work to isolate an electricity cable, essential to enable Stockport Homes Ltd to build new houses of Lapwing Lane and partly over the route of the cable.

Stockport Homes has already commissioned and Electricity North West has already carried out the work; completion of the Deed of Variation will regularise matters.
