The Area committee has approved an application from the Alexandra Skate Park Association to hold an event at the skate park on 29 June 2019.

The Area Committee has approved an application from the Friends of Heaton Norris Park to hold a community fun day on 17 August 2019.

The Area Committee has approved an event application to run a series of eight events on Saturdays between 4.00pm and 7.00pm during May (18^th and 25th), June (1^st, 8^th, 16^th,22^nd and 29^th) and July (6^th) in Cale Green Park, subject to the organisers of the events being strongly reminded that they are responsible for the disposal of litter following the events.

The Area Committee has approved an application from Stockport County Supporters Co-operative to hold its annual half-marathon on 8 September 2019 with a circular route being run from and back to Stockport County Football Club along the Trans Pennine Trail between Woolpack Bridge through Mersey Vale and on into Manchester, subject to the organiser obtaining and submitting the appropriate papers, event plans, health and safety documentation, licences and/or insurances and fees and charges.

The application was also approved by the Heatons and Reddish Area Committee at its meeting held on 8 April 2019.

The Area Committee made a grant of £500.00 to the Friends of Mill Brow for funding towards the purchase of a defibrillator (Marple North ward allocation)

The Area Committee has approved an application from JK Events to utilise Woodbank Memorial Park on 6^th and 7^th July 2019 for an ‘inflatable fun weekend’ comprising four inflatable attractions and catering, subject to all appropriate paperwork and licences being obtained and submitted to the Council at least one week prior to the event taking place and this being confirmed to the Ward Councillors.

The Area Committee made a grant of £700.00 All Saints’ C of E Primary School towards the purchase of a defibrillator. (Marple South and High Lane ward allocation)

The Area Committee was minded to approve the following No Waiting at Any Time Traffic Regulation Order on Vine Grave and Mile End Lane, Stockport, at an approximate cost of £640 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Manor Ward allocation):-

The Area Committee further approved the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made.

The Area Committee approved an application from the Friends of Hesketh Park to hold their annual summer BBQ event on Hesketh Park on 22^nd June 2019.

The Area Committee has approved an application to utilise Woodbank Memorial Park and Vernon Park on 15 September 2019 for the Stockport Big Event 10K race, subject to all appropriate paperwork and licences being obtained and submitted to the Council at least one week prior to the event taking place and this being confirmed to the Ward Councillors.

The Area Committee agreed that the order be made as advertised.

The Area Committee has approved an application from the Heald Green Festival Committee to hold the annual Heald Green Community Festival on 29 June 2019, subject to all the relevant paperwork and licences being obtained and submitted to the Council at least one week prior to the event taking place.

The Area Committee made a grant of £1500 to the Stockport Lads Club from the Area Flexibility Fund toward the cost of a commemorative plaque.

The Area Committee agreed to make a grant of £720.00 the Friends of Cheshire Theatre School for funding to help Reddish youngsters participate in the Dance World Cup (Heatons North £210.00, Heatons South £360.00, Reddish North £60 and Reddish South £90)

The Area Committee agreed to make a grant of £500 to Heaton’s Men in Sheds for funding towards the purchase of tools (Heaton’s South ward allocation)

The Area Committee agreed to make a grant of £900.00 to Arts Central for funding towards the staging of a musical theatre show (Heatons North ward £200.00, Reddish South ward £300.00 and Reddish North ward £400.00)

The Area Committee made a grant of £1000.00 to the Greater Manchester Army Cadet Force for funding towards the purchase of ruck sacks and other equipment for the cadets for a planned expedition ( the funds to be divided between the four wards based on a postcode analysis of where the participants live)

The Area Committee agreed that the order be made as advertised.

The Area Committee has approved an application from Cheadle Get Connected to hold its annual Picnic in the Park at Abney Hall Park on 21 July 2019, subject to all appropriate paperwork and licences being obtained and submitted to the Council at least one week prior to the event taking place and the payment of any fees due.

The Area Committee has approved an application from Gatley Festival Committee to hold the Gatley Festival weekend between 28 – 30 June 2019 in Gatley Recreation Ground and Gatley Hill Playing Fields, subject to all appropriate paperwork and licences being obtained and submitted to the Council at least a week prior to the event taking place and the payment of any fees due.

The Area Committee approved an application from Stockport County Supporters Co-operative have applied to hold their annual half-marathon

on Sunday 8th September 2019 with a circular route being run from and back to Stockport County Football Club along the Trans Pennine Trail between the Woolpack Bridge through Mersey Vale and on into Manchester (see route map attached). The event will start at 9.30am and finish at 12.30pm, setting up from 9.00am.

The Area Committee has approved an application from JK Events for the use of Torkington Park on 15 and 16 July 2019 for an inflatable fun weekend be approved, subject to the receipt by the Council of all appropriate paperwork, licences and fees at least one week prior to the event taking place, and with the Council officers being satisfied that all appropriate safety measures are in place.

The Area Committee approved the use of £1,000 from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Hazel Grove Ward allocation) for the construction of a lowered-kerb (of sufficient width for a wheelchair or pushchair) on Wellington Street, Hazel Grove.

The Area Committee approved the installation of a Bus Clearway marking and Hazard Lines on Marbury Road in Heaton Chapel at an approximate cost of £450.00 to be funded via the Area Committee delegated budget (Heatons North Ward allocation)

The Area Committee has approved an application for Ward Flexibility Funding from the Friends of Scholes Park for £1,000 towards the installation of a community planter area in the park, to be funded from the Area Committee’s Ward Flexibility Budget (Cheadle and Gatley Ward allocation).

The Area Committee has given approval to the legal advertising of the following Traffic Regulation Orders and, subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the orders at a cost of £660 to be funded from the Area Committee’ Delegated Budget (Bredbury & Woodley ward allocation):-

The Area Committee agreed to (i) request that the Cabinet Member for Communities & Housing approves the installation of a new directional sign to Heaton Chapel Station on Wellington Road, Heaton Moor at an approximate cost of £473 to be funded via the Area Committee delegated budget (Heatons North ward allocation) and (ii) that the design for the sign be agreed with the Traffic Ward Spokesperson.

The Area Committee to considered a proposal to revoke a section of waiting restrictions on Lisburne Close, Offerton to provide additional on-street parking capacity for residents and then agreed to the legal advertising of the following Traffic Regulation Order at a cost of £200 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Offerton Ward allocation) and, subject to no objections being received within 21 days from the advertisement date, the Order being made:

The Area Committee has given approval to an application for Ward Flexibility Funding from Early Essentials (Stockport) for a grant of £500 towards the cost of providing ‘weaning starter kits’.

The Area Committee has considered an objection received to a proposed Restriction of Waiting Traffic Regulation Order on Milton Crescent, Cheadle and agree that, notwithstanding the objection received, the Order be made as advertised in Appendix A to the report and shown on drawing number NM8-4882-02.

The Area Committee has approved an application for Ward Flexibility Funding from Cheadle Get Connected CIC for £200 for work to engage with various community sectors with the aim of creating a dementia friendly community in Cheadle, to be funded as follows:-
