The Deputy Chief Executive has given approval to the granting of a three-year lease of the shop premises at 6 Cherry Tree Lane, Romiley on the terms identified in the ‘not for publication’ report.

The Deputy Chief Executive has approved the awarding of a contract to Permicoat Limited for roofing works at Priestnall School and Priestnall Life Leisure.

Estates and Asset Management undertake planned reviews of the condition of the Council’s estates and assets. As part of this process, a need has been identified for roofing works within a number of schools and leisure centres.

For this project, the Council engaged with STaR Procurement to establish the most effective way to appoint a consultant. A competitive tender was adopted, using a risk based sourcing approach. This process included assessment based on Quality, Cost and Social Value Benefit.

Five contractors responded to the tender. Following scoring Permicoat Limited were identified as the preferred supplier.

The Cabinet Member for Sustainable Stockport has approved the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order set out in Appendices A and B of the report at an approximate cost of £2,200 to be funded from the Cabinet Member’s Highways budget and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order can be made.

The Area Committee has given approval to an application for Ward Flexibility Funding from Mode Rehabilitation for a grant of £1,000 towards the cost of a ‘Big Bright Future’ project.

The Area Committee made an award of £500 to Mode Rehabilitation toward the cost of project to support young people’s mental health.

A representative of the Deputy Chief Executive submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) inviting the Area Committee to consider a proposal to introduce additional waiting restrictions on Shepley Drive and Castleton Road, Hazel Grove to improve road safety around Norbury Primary School.

RESOLVED – That the following Traffic Regulation Order be approved for legal advertising at a cost of £810 to be funded from the Area Committee delegated budget (Hazel Grove Ward allocation) and, subject to no objections being received within 21 days from the advertisement date, the Order being made:

The Area Committee made an award of £1050 to Bosden Farm Community Group toward the cost of ‘FarmFest’.

The Area Committee has given approval to the carrying out of preventative treatment on the footway of Merton Avenue, Bredbury at a cost of £1,000 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Bredbury & Woodley ward allocation).

The Area Committee has approved an application from Bethany Church to hold a religious Family Fun Day ‘Lark in the Park’ on 18 August 2019 at Gatley Recreation Ground, Gatley, subject to the organisers producing the appropriate papers, event plan, health and safety documentation, licences and insurance, and payment of the fee.

The Area Committee agreed to delegate the decision from which ward budgets the costs were met to the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration in consultation with the Chair.

The Area Committee approved the legal advertising of the proposed Traffic Regulation as detailed in the report and subject to no objections being received within 21 days from the advertisement date agreed that the order can be made.

The Area Committee agreed to make a contribution of £778.00 (Heatons South Ward allocation) to the costs for providing a bespoke metal bench on the seating circle at the Mersey Vale Trans Pennine Trail, Vale Road, Heaton Mersey.

The Area Committee approved a proposal to resurface an area to the rear of No.1 Lune Way on Central Drive, Reddish at an approximate cost of £4,500 to be funded via the Area Committee delegated budget (Reddish North ward allocation)
