The Cabinet Member of Communities & Housing has approved that half of the traffic calming scheme for Highgrove Road, Cheadle be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Cheadle and Gatley Ward allocation) at an approximate cost of £14,250 and the other half to be funded from the Highways & Transportation Capital programme.


25/09/2018 - Highgrove Road, Cheadle - Traffic Calming Scheme

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) setting out the findings of the feasibility study to investigate proposals to install traffic calming features in the form of ‘give way’ priority chicanes to slow down traffic along Highgrove Road, Gatley, which ran in a north west/south east direction between the A560 Gatley Road and Broadway.

 

RESOLVED – That approval be given to half of the traffic calming scheme for Highgrove Road, Cheadle being funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Cheadle and Gatley Ward allocation) at an approximate cost of £14,250 and the Cabinet Member for Communities and Housing be requested to fund the other half of the scheme from the Highways and Transportation Capital Programme.
