Exclusion of the Public and the Public Interest Test

To consider whether it is in the public interest to exclude the public during consideration of agenda item 5 (Licensing Act 2003: Application for a New Premises Licence to be granted at 19b St Petersgate, Stockport) as appendices to the report contain information ‘not for publication’ in accordance with Section 14(2) of The Licensing Act 2003 (Hearings) Regulations 2005 and where the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.

To consider a report of the Corporate Director (Place) and Deputy Chief Executive.

 

The report details an application received from Stockport Gin Ltd for a premises licence to be granted under the Licensing Act 2003 at 19b St Petersgate, Stockport to permit the supply of alcohol on and off the premises from Monday to Sunday between 10:00 and 23:00 hours.

 

The Sub-Committee is recommended to consider the application for a Premises Licence to be granted at 19b St Petersgate, Stockport.

Licensing Act 2003: Applications for Two Temporary Event Notices at Rear Car Park, Pear Mill, Stockport Road West, Bredbury pdf icon PDF 99 KB

To consider a report of the Corporate Director (Place) and Deputy Chief Executive.

 

The report details an objection notice issued by Stockport Council’s Public Protection service (incorporating Environmental Health) in relation to two temporary event notices (TENs) issued by Mr Sean Kennedy for the Rear Car Park, Pear Mill, Stockport Road West for the provision of regulated entertainment on 2 weekends in December 2020.  The objections are on the ground that the temporary event notices would fail to promote the public safety licensing objective.

 

The Sub-Committee is recommended to consider the objection notice by Stockport Council’s Environmental Health service and determine whether a counter notice should be issued to Mr Sean Kennedy in respect of each of the temporary events.
