Stockport Council is increasingly moving to an asset management based approach to dealing with its different infrastructure requirements. In 2016 the Well Managed Highways Infrastructure Code of Practice was published. Since then the Council has been working to implement this code of practice and integrating it into the Council processes and procedures. As part of this the Council produced Public Right of Way Inspection and Repair Plan 2018  and is working to amend the other parts of the Public Rights of Way procedure to be delivered using a risk based approach and the lifecycle planning procedures needed for asset management.

 

The Forum is recommended to comment on and note the report.
