The Minutes (copies of which had been circulated) of the meeting held on 18 February 2019 were approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

The report provides an update on how Stockport Homes has delivered on its objectives in 2018/2019.

The Assistant Chief Executive, Stockport Homes Ltd submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) providing an update on how Stockport Homes has delivered on its objectives in 2018/2019.

 

The following comments were made/issues made:-

·         Councillors welcomed the new format of the report demonstrating how the outcomes linked to the Council Plan.

·         Congratulations were extended to the Chief Executive of SHG, Helen McHale for her National Award for Leadership.

·         Actions undertaken to address sickness – the actual number of sick days remained well below the average for the housing sector.

·         The use of electronic notice boards to share information with tenants.

·         Councillors welcomed the excellent work undertake to recruit and support apprentices.

 

RESOLVED – That the report be noted.

The report provides an update on the experiences of tenants using data from a range of customer interactions.

The Assistant Chief Executive and the Director of Neighbourhoods and Support, Stockport Homes Ltd submitted a joint report (copies of which had been circulated) providing an update on the experiences of tenants using data collected from a wide range of customer interactions.

 

It was suggested that representatives of Disability Stockport be invited to make a presentation to the Council Meeting

 

RESOLVED – That the report be noted and an update be provided to a future meeting on the outcomes of the Tennant Satisfaction Survey.

The Chair commended officers on the quality of the report and commented that the inclusive of photographs had been most helpful.

To consider a report of the Director of Resources.

 

The report provides analysis on the Gender Pay Gap for Stockport Homes and the progress made since the first Gender Pay Gap report a year ago. Additionally to inform the committee about proposed actions to address the Gender Pay Gap and the narrative to support the published data.

 

The Committee is invited to note the Gender Pay Gap analysis for Stockport Homes and the work being undertaken to help improve performance in this area.

The Committee reiterated their support in the company’s efforts to encourage and young people to be employed in a trade.

The Chief Executive, Stockport Homes Ltd submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) providing information on issues which may be of strategic interest to the Committee. The update covered a number of issues including the impact of Universal Credit, the implementation of the Capital Programme, the care-call programme, that 2019 was the centenary of the Addison Act and the Ethical Standards Initiative.

 

RESOLVED – That the report be noted and a update be submitted to a future meeting on the Ethical Standards Initiative.
