The Minutes (copies of which had been circulated) of the meeting held on 25 April 2016 were approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

The report provides an update on the delivery of Stockport Homes’ aims during 2015/16, in accordance with the requirements of the Management Agreement.

The Director of Corporate Services (Stockport Homes) submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) providing an update on the delivery of Stockport Homes’ aims during 2015/2016 in accordance with the requirements of the management agreement.

 

The following comments were made/issues raised:-

·         Performance against business critical measures and customer satisfaction had been excellent during the period.

·         Councillors enquired as to the current number of people on the housing register, the levels of rent arrears and what actions were being taken to enforce tenancy agreements.

·         Customers continued to benefit from work undertaken to retrofit homes with renewable energy and energy efficiency measures.

·         The company has worked in partnership with the Council and other agencies to deliver a programme of green space activities and improvement which have also had the added effect of promoting health and wellbeing.

·         Councillors asked that in future reports, performance trends be reflected over a longer period of time.

 

RESOLVED – That the report be noted.

The Director of Finance (Stockport Homes) submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) providing an update on the company structures project.

 

The following comments were made/issues raised:-

·         The process for the creation of the Stockport Homes Development Company had now commenced and discussions remained ongoing with the Council.

·         The recruitment process and terms and conditions for people employed by the new company.

·         Discussions had progressed in respect to the governance arrangements for the Delivery Company.

·         Officers undertook to bring regular updates to the Committee.

The report outlines Stockport Homes’ commitment to paying the Living Wage and supporting the Living Wage Foundation.

 

The Committee is recommended to comment on the report and note Stockport Homes’ commitment to paying the Living Wage.

The report provides a year-to-date summary of performance against indicators and measures.

 

The Committee is recommended to comment on the report and note performance and improvement actions outlined in the report.

Minutes:

The Director of Corporate Services (Stockport Homes) submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) providing an update for year to date on performance against indicators and measures.

 

The following comments were made/issues raised:-

·         Performance for the period continued to be positive with 11 of the 16 indicators being on target and rated at green. Only 3 indicators fell outside the accepted tolerance levels.

·         Indicators relating to customer satisfaction on investment and customer feedback process show very high satisfactions amongst customers.

·         Sickness absence was outside the established tolerance levels due to some pockets of sickness in a small number of teams.

Minutes:

The Director of Finance (Stockport Homes) submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) providing an update on the financial position from April to July 2016.

 

The following comments were made/issues raised:-

·         Councillors welcomed the fact that the year-end accounts for Stockport Homes were approved by the Stockport Homes Board in July 2016. A clear audit report had been given on the accounts which provided a strong base going into the current financial year.

·         The Committee noted that the HRA was expected to maintain £228,000 above the minimum reserves balance of £1.0 million for the year ending 2016/2017.
