Exclusion of the Public and the Public Interest Test

To consider whether it is in the public interest to exclude the public during consideration of Agenda Item 5 – ‘Appeal A640’ which contains information ‘not for publication’ by virtue of the categories set out in the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

Minutes:

RESOLVED – That the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of Agenda Item 5 ‘Appeal A638’ to prevent the disclosure of information relating to an individual.  It would not, on balance, be in the public interest to disclose this information to the public because disclosure of the personal information would not be fair to the appellant and therefore in breach of Dara Protection Regulations.

5.

Appeal A638

To consider an appeal against dismissal from an employee of the Corporate Director for People.

Minutes:

A representative of the Chief Executive explained that the appellant had been in contact with the Council to confirm that they no longer wished for the appeal to proceed.

RESOLVED – That the Committee noted the information provided by the representative and on the basis of that request it was therefore assumed that the appeal was withdrawn.
