The report provides an update on progress since the last meeting on decisions taken by the Area Committee and details the current position on ward flexibility funding. The report also includes the current position on the ward delegated budgets.

A representative of the Deputy Chief Executive submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) updating the Area Committee on progress since the last meeting on decisions taken by the Area Committee and the current position on Ward Flexibility Funding.

 

The following comments were made/issues raised:-

 

  • A Member advised that the results of the residents survey for traffic calming on High Grove Road, Gatley would shortly be discussed between Ward Councillors and Traffic Officers.
  • A Member enquired when the Traffic Regulation Order for a 20mph zone on the Ladybridge Park estate/Twining Brook Road, Cheadle Hulme would be advertised.

RESOLVED – That approval be given to the application for Ward Flexibility Funding from the Friends of Scholes Park for £1,000 towards the installation of a community planter area in the park, to be funded from the Ward Flexibility Fund (Cheadle and Gatley Ward allocation).

The report sets out the results of an investigation into reports concerning a lack of visibility (due to on-street parking) for drivers looking left when turning out of Daylesford Crescent (northerly part) onto Schools Hill in Cheadle.

 

The Area Committee is requested to recommend the Cabinet Member for Communities and Housing to approve the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order detailed in the report and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days of the advertisement date, the Order can be made.
