The Area Committee is invited to nominate Ward Spokespersons with whom the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration can consult on highway maintenance and traffic management matters.

 

The Area Committee is recommended to nominate Ward Spokespersons for the Bramhall North, Bramhall South & Woodford and Cheadle Hulme South wards.

To consider a report of the Democratic Services Manager.

 

The report provides an update on progress since the last meeting on decisions taken by the Area Committee and details the current position on area flexibility funding. The report also includes the current position on the highway and traffic management delegated budget.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) updating the Area Committee on progress on decisions taken by the Area Committee since the last meeting and the current position on the Area Flexibility and Ward Delegated budgets.

 

The following comments were made/ issues raised:-

 

·         It was requested that the results of the data obtained from speed surveys and traffic counts undertaken in the area be requested from Transport for Greater Manchester as it was noted that a number had been outstanding for some time.

·         It was requested that the ongoing issue of parking problems on the Ramillies Estate, Cheadle Hulme be included within the resume of traffic issues published in the future Progress Reports.
