To appoint a Vice-Chair for the period until the next Annual Council Meeting.

RESOLVED – That Councillor Tom McGee be appointed Vice-Chair of the Committee for the period until the next Annual Council Meeting.

To consider a report of the Democratic Services Manager.

 

To consider the process for the selection of Scrutiny Review topics by Scrutiny Committees to be carried out during the 2014/15 municipal year.

 

The Scrutiny Co-ordination Committee is invited to consider a process for examining and testing possible areas of Scrutiny work as set out in paragraph 3.4 and 3.5 of the report.

Minutes:

The Democratic Services Manager submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) inviting the Committee to consider the process for the selection of Scrutiny Review topics by Scrutiny Committees to be carried out during the 2014/15 municipal year.

 

RESOLVED – (1) That the report be noted and the process for examining and testing possible areas of Scrutiny work as set out in paragraph 3.4 and 3.5 of the report be endorsed.

 

(2) That Scrutiny Committees be invited to consider potential topics for Review for consideration at the Council Meetings on 11 September or 16 October 2014.

To consider the Scrutiny Annual Report 2013/14.

 

Minutes:

The Democratic Services Manager submitted the draft Annual Scrutiny Report for 2013/14 (copies of which had been circulated).

 

RESOLVED – That the Annual Report for 2013/14 be submitted to the Council Meeting on 11 September 2014 subject to the report being updated to reflect the responses of the Executive to the recommendations and a brief summary of the key outcomes/ recommendations following discussion with the appropriate Lead Member for the Review.
