The Minutes (copies of which had been circulated) of the meeting held on 9 July 2018 were approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

The local Public Realm Inspector will attend the meeting to provide an update on matters raised at the last committee meetings. Councillors and Members of the public are invited to raise issues affecting local environmental quality.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Public Realm Inspector (copies of which had been circulated) providing an update on issues relating to public realm and enforcement related matters in the Heatons and Reddish area.

RESOLVED – That the report be noted.

In accordance with the Code of Practice no organisation has indicated that they wished to address the Area Committee as part of the Open Forum arrangements.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager reported that no organisation had indicated that they wished to address the Area Committee at part of the Open Forum arrangements.

To consider an application for Ward Flexibility Funding from the Friends of Reddish South Station.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted an application on behalf of the Friends of Reddish South Station requesting funding to support a commemorative event in honour of the 100^th anniversary of the end of World War One.

RESOLVED – That a grant of £500 (to be divided equally between the Reddish North and South wards) to the Friends of Reddish South Station to support a commemorative event in honour of the 100^th anniversary of the end of World War One be approved.

To consider an application for Ward Flexibility Funding from Stockport County Community Foundation.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted an application on behalf of the Stockport County Community Foundation requesting funding towards the purchase of equipment for a new County Walking Football team.

RESOLVED – That the Democratic Services Manager be requested to write to the applicant informing them that the Area Committee supports the application in principle and requesting further information in respect to where the applicants live before a grant is made.

To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration.

To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration.

The report details an application from the Friends of Manchester Road Play Area to hold a Fun Day on Manchester Road Park on Sunday 16th September 2018.

The Area Committee is recommended to gran the application subject to the organiser obtaining appropriate papers, event plans, health and safety documentation, licences, insurances and any fees and charges that apply.

The report provides an update on progress since the last meeting on decisions taken by the Area Committee and details the current position on area flexibility funding. The report also includes the current position on the highway and traffic management delegated budget.

·         Road Safety at the Gorton Road/Longford Road West junctions

·         Options for the adoption of the passageway between Ash Grove, Orthes Grove and Halesden Road, Heaton Chapel; and

·         An update on traffic problems on Didsbury Road relating to the East Didsbury Metrolink Station

The report seeks the views of the Area Committee prior to submission to Cabinet Member approval for the re-classification and de-classification of designated routes associated with the Town Centre Access Plan following public consultation.

The report details a proposal to introduce Moving and Waiting, Loading/Unloading Traffic Regulation Orders associated with the Town Centre Access Plan project TCAP801 in the vicinity of George’s Road, Wycliffe Street and Andrew Street.

The Area Committee is requested to comment on the proposals detailed in the report prior to consideration by the Cabinet Member.
