Purpose:

The report is intended to outline the current position with regards to the Woodford Neighbourhood Plan (WNP) and in order to support the key decision of the Council agreeing that the WNP can go forward to a public referendum. In the event of a vote in its favour, the WNP would then form part of the development plan for Stockport.


Decision:

The Cabinet considered a proposal for the Woodford Neighbourhood Plan to be put to a public referendum and recommended this to the Council Meeting, and that in the event of a vote in its favour, the Plan form part of the development plan for Stockport.
