Purpose:

To seek Cabinet approval for additional funding to be granted to Life Leisure for Quarter 2 2020/21 to enable some Council-owned leisure centres to reopen to the public in August 2020..

The Cabinet Member for Sustainable Stockport (Councillor Sheila Bailey) submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) seeking Cabinet approval for additional funding to be granted to Life Leisure for Quarter 2 2020/21 to enable Council owned leisure centres to reopen to the public in August 2020.

RESOLVED - That approval be given to the provision of additional funding to enable the reopening of leisure centres on the basis and terms identified in the ‘not for publication’ report; and the associated delegations to the Corporate Directors for Place Management and Regeneration and Corporate and Support Services, in consultation with the Cabinet Members for Sustainable Stockport and Resources, Commissioning & Governance, as also detailed in the report.
