Public Question Time at committee meetings

At the Executive, Area Committees, Planning & Highways Regulation Committee and the Licensing Environment & Safety Committee there is the opportunity for members of the public to ask a question of the committee about anything within its powers and duties (subject to some restrictions about legal or confidential matters).

Council's can also be asked at the Council Meeting of up to two named Councillors.

Questions to the Executive, Ordinary Committee (including the Planning and Licensing Committees) and the Council Meeting must be submitted to the Democratic Services Officer 30 minutes before the start of the meeting (usually 5.30pm).

For Area Committees questions can be submitted before the start of the meeting to the Democratic Services Officer.
